EMD FL9

A pair of EMD FL9 Locomotives emerged from the green overgrowth. These two engines both dating back to 1957 survive from a total of 60, FL9's units ever built. The entire fleet was retired in 2005 and soon after most of the locomotives were scrapped, however a few vehicles were donated to museums and apparently left to rot in NJ. The below video captures an Amtrak owned FL9 in action back during 1996. Oddly enough the 487 numbered train detailed in the video is the same train pictured in front of the 486 locomotive from my photo above!
