Tudor

Looking inside a typical patient cottage building. The Tudor style architecture carried through within these buildings. The area pictured above was originally built to serve as a day room, a place for patients to gather publicly and interact socially. However, as the hospital become overcrowded the space was most certainly used to house additional beds. At the following link can be found a report hosted and issued by the State of New Jersey which provides a written look into the corruption, greed, and numerous scandals surrounding Marlboro State Hospital leading up too yet prior to the institutions shuttering.
