Ingenuity

Hundreds of shells and dismembered dried out crustaceans littered this one specific section of detached cement pier. The area birds of prey figured out that by dropping their catch onto the cement as they fly over would crack the exoskeleton of their meal. The dropped and dazed prey would essentially cook in the sun and die before it could escape off the island of a pier, which also worked to keep other land animals from stealing the awaiting meals. Damn those intelligent birds, certainly this couldn't be the brain child idea of my fearful friend, Derpy Owl.
