Brenco is the name of an industrial company founded in 1949, most noted for manufacturing and mass producing the tapered roller bearing. Such a design allowed bearings to function without lubrication. This breakthrough lead to reduced friction as well as an ability to withstand larger axial forces. The original roller bearing design dates back to a patent filed by Henry Timken in 1898.
