When the power plant was in operation, hundreds of workers were employed within to keep the various systems maintained and running. The bizarre looking corkscrew-like device pictured above was originally utilized by the numerous employees as an industrial cheese shredder. The workers would all line up just before lunch hour as upper management would roll a giant slab of cheese out to the shredder to be perfectly sliced, thus reducing break time, increasing work efficiency, and boosting moral throughout the entire plant.
