Scranton Lace Company
EDM Death Machine
A long, dimly lit ground floor room was lined with the money makers of the Scranton Lace Company, the famous Jacquard Head dobby loom. These looms were about two stories tall, the uppermost sections had to be accessed by ladder. Upon closure of the factory these looms were the only example of such a lace weaving machine remaining within the United States; they've all since been scraped, except potentially for one remaining loom.
