This picture details well how the decay grew progressively worse with each floor ascended. What started out as just minor paint peeling on the lower floors transcribed into chunks of fallen plaster and rotten floor boards on the upper most level. I believe a leaky section of roof as well as a few loose and cracked windows may be to blame.
