Some of the day rooms were lined with wooden plywood forming a relatively safe and defined path to walk across, but for what reason I'm not sure. It is my guess that these wooden planks were installed sometime after the hospital officially closed, perhaps done by a State Inspector to cover up the holes and soft spots in the frail floor below?
