Infamous KID! PK tags along the ledge of the long abandoned electrical substation (switch house) associated with the Essex Generating Station in Newark, New Jersey. The main portion of the original coal fired power plant was demolished sometime between 1987 through 1995, however the above picture electrical substation building was left standing. The interior of the switch house is quite fascinating, featuring tall vaulted ceilings and spacious control rooms hinting at how beautiful the actual power plant may have been.
