Standing atop the roof on one of the Women's Tuberculosis Ward Pavilions at Seaview Hospital while awaiting the sunrise on a crisp Autumn morning. The terra cotta style ward buildings are most notable for the large open air porches and unique ornamental ceramic tile work featuring sea side scenes and people. An abundance of sunlight and fresh air was thought to help cure tuberculosis explaining the design of the pavilions.
